NPHS Class of '62 Scholarship

July 8, 2014  - News form Linda Border Stokey and Dave Engelhart

Our first class scholarship was awarded on May 2. 2014 to Holly Fickes. Donny Johnson was on hand to represent our class. The Class of '62 Academic Scholarship will greatly aid Holly as she pursues her career in nursing at Kent State University. Holly is the daughter of Jim and Mary Ann Fickes and a  distant relative of Jack and Cheryl Fickes.

As the second quarter ends, we have completed 99.17% of our goal of 100% funding. ($20,000) by our 55th reunion.   You should have all received a letter detailing plans for the future of the scholarship fund.

As a special note, Dale Hawk has "stepped forward" and has agreed to  match all 3rd quarted contributions (up to $5,000). This is an excellent opportunitu for us to "reach forward" and meet the next plateau of funding. If we meet Dale's challenge our 2015 recipient will receive $1,500. Thank you Dale for stepping forward!
